CAPU For the Win

It may be our sentimentality of Capu being the name of Chris Ayers' childhood dog, or it may be that we think there is plenty of life to be had after the conclusion of our first podcast series that ran from 2015 to 2018, but our CAPU rating system is going to stay around.

CAPU stands for: Capability, Analytics, Profitability, and Usability.

These four metrics are chosen to help us at Multinewmedia provide you with recommendations on what services to consider.  While we started the CAPU system with a simple 0-10 rating scale for each of the metrics, there is some debate on whether or not that should be reconsidered and revised.

For now, the purpose of this post is to clarify that the CAPU rating system is sticking around and we're currently planning some good head-to-head competition in this field.  If you'd like to suggest any reviews or comparisons, please add your ideas to the comments below.

Our existing CAPU reviews:

  • Collaboration: Slack vs. Teams (Episode 101)
  • Productivity: Office vs. GDocs vs. iWork vs. LibreOffice (Episode 102)
  • E-commerce: Shopify vs. Magento (Episode 106)

Planned CAPU reviews:

  • Social media schedulers
  • Podcast hosting platforms
  • Shared web hosting
  • Cloud VPS services
  • Video editing software
  • Screen recording software
  • Live streaming software
  • Podcasting equipment
  • ... and more!

Now it's your turn.  Tell us what you're most excited about or what you'd like to see us add to the list in 2019.
